Hi Trokkie, Ive also heard about this. Apparently it increases the cetane number in diesel & provides needed lubrication for low sulphur fuel. I would strongly recommend that you check your warranty will not be affected. Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!

Hi.
I've seen chaps use it on older mechanical pump Diesel engines. The story was that it lubricated the pump but it added some smoke, however they did not use expensive smokeless oil.Rather look for Wynn's diesel treatment to use. Cheers Puma 110 SW 90 V8 SOFT TOP |

I use a tin of "Forte" Diesel treatment in both my TD5 and Tdci twice a year and it has instant results in the engines power and noise, it really cleans the crud from the top end and injectors. My mate runs a small garage and every fuel filter change has 30% neat Forte added inside the filter....

![]() I too used forte regularly. Before current and soon to depart v8 110 I had a series 111 swb diesel. Made a moped seem fast but it was reliable & got it through mot every time by filling fuel filter with forte prior to drive to mot station---- and cleaned injectors for another year. Landyman 1 |

Hi Guys,
I've been adding 2stroke since I posted this a few months ago. I have to say that my Td5 is quieter and alot smoother. I have not had any issues and will keep on adding. Just some stats - i dive between 1000km -1200km per week on all sort of surfaces and my Trokkie is running like charm ![]() |

I'm trying this. Engine is definitely quieter, also smoother power delivery at lower revs. Going to keep on with it for the time being.

18000KM on mine now using TCW-3 marine two stroke and all is fine.200ml per fill-up and I feel protected. On another note,my local Ford dealer advised me to use there 5W-40 diesel oil as a better alternative to 5w-30 low SAPS.I was using 5w-50 in summer anyway.

I have learned this method of "lubricating" diesel engines when I was in the army in the late 80s!
We used it in old diesel trucks and land rovers, since then I have always used 2 stroke oil in all my land rovers (200tdi, td5 and now my tdci) and never had a problem.javascript:emoticon(' ![]() An old mechanic told me that it also washes the moisture out of the engine, I don't know if this is true. |
