Just read an article in this month's LRM debating the use of 2 stroke. BM52 |

so my maths works out to - 1 - 200 so 1ml to 200mls, 10 mls to 2lts 100mls to 20ltrs, 200mls to 40ltrs, 400mls to 80ltrs (110 tank full = 70 ltrs - Disco 2 tanks = 85ltrs ish) (edited due to forgetting which vehicle took longer to refill!) just some feedback...
I've now been using 2SO at 1:200 in every tank for more than 2 years. 165 000km and it's running so nicely! www.ralton.co.za |

So is there anyone using two stroke oil in a DPF'd vehicle?
If so any issues; and are you using FB or FC? |

On to my second tank with 2so added. All I can say is WOW!! what a difference. So smooth and quiet.
My 2010 90 was so noisy and clattery and from reading these threads I am guessing it was injector related. But since adding the 2 stroke it is exactly how I thought a modern diesel would sound and this apparent smoothness makes it much nicer to drive. It seems to rev higher more easily too but I am not sure if that is just because it sounds like I am not strangling a cat. I am loving it! |

That's really odd. I had the exact opposite experience...
I tried adding 2SO to the tank at each fill up, for approx 1.5k miles. I have not seen any improvement in neither drivability nor smoothness, it was actually slightly worse wrt MPG... I've now stopped adding anything to the tank and would not advise to add 2SO. But that just IMHO. |
