You are correct, if the rules are what we expect them to be this will be all that's needed to pass the mot legally and keep Vosa happy.

Hey mod suppliers, H E L P ! ! PLEEEZ!

If these pages annoy borderterrier, well then he is going to become absolutely ASPHYXIATED with rage over what those SoBs at LandRover themselves are doing! Just LOOK at what they are selling to their non-UK customers!!:-

http://fleets.roversnorth.com/land-rover/defender-110.php

What a disgrace!! They have no respect for the moral sensitivities of some of our MoT enthusiasts you know?

Anyhow, all you mod equipment suppliers out there (yes Pete, you too), I know a lot of members here and elsewhere are trying to gain as much info as possible on these "new" EU 2.2s with the specific intention to return them to EU2 compliance or better (by "better" I mean more "user friendly" and not "Brussels friendly") and so I am calling on those who understand the cunning mind of the average Defender reprobate.

Bringing these 2.2s to the same Land Rover Military spec available to offshore buyers would be really great, we may have to defend ourselves against attacks from those terriers across the border in Brussels after all!

And I must also make an astonishing admission here, and I hope there is a Bishop present who can give me absolution for my sins, but no matter how hard I try I simply cannot find it within myself to generate any enthusiasm for these new EU MoT commandments and so I am not concerned about MoT (and yes, I appear to be really EVIL that way!!) - do you think I will still be allowed into heaven?

I was hoping somebody could get a nice comprehensive list of the most politically incorrect options for these new models, information on where one could find the biggest social reprobate suppliers for those pieces of equipment and those modifications which reverse engineer these MoT restrictions to the fullest possible extent of the evil imagination of the average grubby anti MoT Defender enthusiast?

What do you say Pete? Short of dobbing yourself in, send a PM or something, but could you at least list your own knowledge of available equipment options from other suppliers, available mods and the suppliers where these mods and gear can be sourced?

Come on suppliers, especially you Pete.

A comprehensive list of options would make a really great sticky too and it would help those who love MoT restrictions to navigate their way through Defender life away from these dens of sin and vice and MoT iniquity!!

A real Win Win for everyone!!!!! ****CENSORED****

Just quickley banged a few parts together today for a prototype 2.2TDCi for NON UK ROAD USE, NON EU ROAD USE DPF/CAT removal Thumbs Up This will NOT meet the needed EU legislation for emmisions and WILL change your cars Type Approval from what it was when it left the factory, This WILL also void your warranty.

I do need to get some parts lathed up as the turbo has a weird outlet so I for mock used a flange flare I made.

People, im on it Mr. Green

PS, Im also waiting on delivery of a fully legal sports cat for the 2.4. I can poss have it slip jointed as to fit into existing decat pipes. This of course will be fully MOT legal for the UK regs if they are as we currently think they are going to be.

Pete

Trying to!...... Thumbs Up

How apt is this?.......

Reassuring Peter.....Low profile....easy to fit. When you get round to 'EU approved' brackets to fit original heatshields would also perhaps be a bonus but not needed perhaps because of size?

The OEM one is as big as a small emersion heater but ran 'cherry red' hot. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Fantastic Pete!!!

Wow!! Thanks for that!!

Re the "fully legal sports cat" - nah, if it's EU or UK legal I don't want it, there will be some convent somewhere who would be happy to take it off your hands Smile

But that decat/dedog stuff? I am VERY interested.

Tell me Pete, has anyone figured out how to stop the diesel flow into the chamber during the exhaust cycle?

In other words is it possible for you to bring the ECU back to EU 2 compliance including prevention of further contamination of oils in the crank?

Needed, 1 X Decat & dedog : 1 X ECU "return to EU2 compliance" or LR international version remap + performance remap: 1 X You Beauty IC and Turbo booster : all the down pipe mods to minimum back pressure required for efficient thrust : anything else which is highly illegal, immoral or just plain downright fun!

Send us a quote mate!! ****CENSORED****

Now then cowboy, lets put this here record straight. JLR can legally and legitimately sell non EU5 compliant vee - hikkels overseas to those countries who do not require imported vee - hikkels to be EU5 compliant! Thats the law. That wont change until the good ol US of A starts to give a dime about pollution, emissions and their effect on this here planet.
Those vee - hikkels in the advertisement are not "Land Rover Military spec" by the way, they are vee - hikkels being sold to Department of Defense personnel who get a discount on the price, just like here in the UK. The only users within the US military of Defenders are the Rangers Bns. Their vee - hikkels are 300 tdi engined and therefore have no DPF to worry yourself about. Y'all have a good day now ya hear?
