Just a thought - the nuts and bolts on a Defender can be standard hexagonal or in some cases Bi-hex (12 point).

Consider a set of aviation spanners off ebay. They won't be the best, or have a lifetime warranty, but I have found them extremely useful.

A note of caution - I believe the pressure created by the cap raises the boiling point of the water and as such no cap may create problems when running at higher temperatures.

Not sure how long you have had the vehicle or when last you did the brakes, but perhaps consider the bolts for the calipers. Whilst they may be OK to remove now, think about when they will be removed ... |
