Which grease gun?
Morning all.

Could someone point me in the direction for a good grease gun that has a good length flexi to reach all the areas.

Would this suffice?

I did have a quick search - there just doesn’t seem to be a ‘go to’ gun that everyone agrees on, from what I’ve seen. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

I use this one.

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cat-125-air-grease-gun/

It takes grease cartridges which are less messy than loading from a tub.

Some grease nipples on the puma UJ are so difficult to grease. Their location on the center of the cross, with an angled nipple makes it impossible to reach with a normal grease gun. I think the one next to handbrake drum is the worse.
Never had problems with my old 90, with grease nipples on the side of the cross.

Not much (if anything) else to grease. My puma does not have grease points on the prop shaft splines. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I just got the one thats the pistol type from Gwyn Lewis, upgrade from my previous one that you need 3 hands to operate. I brought the extension tube for the gun also and did all my prop nipples with no issues on the puma last weekend. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

Thanks for the replies Smile

I have looked at the Gwynn Lewis ones. If you’ve used it on the Puma type, then I may just give that one a go Smile

I improved my Laser gun no end by fitting a flexi hose with Lock-n-lube coupler. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Ive had three and my favorite one is this one handed jobby.
https://www.biltema.no/en-no/car---mc/car-...2000022145

I also use one of these quick connect thingys:
https://www.biltema.no/en-no/tools/compres...2000041997

this makes it easier as I find the regular guns need two hand to hold and pump, and a third hand to hold the grease nipple connection.

I have given up trying to grease them in place - you really need to disconnect one end to do the job properly by moving the joint around. Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭

With pleasure:

Milwaukee M18 greasegun.

You omitted one rather crucial piece of information - your budget!

I’m really happy still with my Allemite 500-E with narrow lock n’ lube coupler.
Does everything I want really well. Very Happy

If I had a lot of use for other things I’d definitely consider the Milwaukee 18v for sure.
Nice bit of kit, you get what you pay for.

I spotted a nice tool the other day https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395406666611?_t...p_homepage
Just the design caught my eye, Ltd edition as well.

Wera Joker spanner’s are nice too. Though straying off topic slightly here and thread revival. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

This was recommended by a fellow Defender2 member. Had it a couple of years - absolutely spot on.

Makes me chuckle how this topic started 2 years ago and everyones example is different Laughing

I use the typical style of grease gun, but the one I bought had a fixed angled nozzle and was impossible, got a flexi from machinemart and was good to go Smile The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

This is the best manual grease gun I have met in recent years.
