A good reminder about the need to keep the underside spic ‘n span at all times, and certainly so before Dinitrolling.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Does anyone know if say you use Dinitrol as your first rot protection application then 3 or 4 years down the line you think perhaps BH is worth a try or other similar respected products can you overspray the Dinitrol after obviously giving it a full clean and allowing it to dry correctly or do the previously used products need to be totally removed? 2015 HT XS 90

Bilt Hamber will go over Dinitrol 4941 no problem, they are both epoxy based

Relevance to Dynax UC & Dynax S-50.... Underbody and cavity wax.
I always prefer Dinitrol, gives a better finish, it's not streaky, even the clear, dries and so is not tacky collecting dirt, cans are shorter, I could never get the last 20% of product out of the longer more unwieldy cans of Bilt Hamber when I used aerosols as a trial. Dinitrol for me every time, smart, Matt, dry finish or non streaky clear if you use Corroheat! |

It,s been a busy year, doing more classic cars these days and modern cars as well as mint rust free 20 year old Supras from Japan that can be £40,000. Also really rotten ones from the UK, I see more of my welder now that Defenders and Discoveries are getting older. If only folks got them treated sooner
An update on Dinitrol, Cavity wax ML & LT has been superseded with 1000 which is clear and more of a penetrant, which is an improvement Pretty pic time of just a few... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The above 110 I did from new, it,s mint, lovely, the owner takes fastidious care of the body with plenty of ACF-50. Incredible condition AND it is only used in the winter. It came in for a top up |

This was also VERY nice...
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Chalk and cheese, doesn't invoke the same feelings a Defender does but as a car, I liked this, straight from Denmark, a rare V8 version we are not allowed these in the UK. I am getting a few in from abroad from my SAAB and boat connections. If anyone wants a really nice hotel in my area I can recommend one to you, not just for coming to me I mean and appeasing the wife!! but if you are passing through, holiday etc. Don,t think I am allowed to put a link up so pm me. Best part of my job is meeting new nice people from all walks of life. Click image to enlarge |
