A large jaw vice, though you’d need to ensure they are installed square on, so you’d need some home made press plates from some heavy gauge mild steel pieces to spread the load. TheThunderRolls🇬🇧🇺🇸

Depends which bushes tbh. Getting the old ones out is the first challenge. You can cut/drill many out, but it takes time. On the hydraulic press I've seen well in excess of 6 tonnes to push out of the radius arm bushes in the past. And refitting these with a vice would also be difficult.
Panhard rod bushes are ok in a vice. Else get polybushes instead. So much easier to fit at home and to remove in the future. |

As above, just replaced set of radius arm bushes and I think was well over 10tons before they started moving out. Polybushed, but new bushes should take much less force to press in if everything is cleaned up prior to installation. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Have a chat with a local engineering firm or garage with a good press i.e 20 ton plus to see how much they would charge to press out and press in the bushes if you bring the individual components to them. I don’t expect it would be much. |

^^^^ This is probably the best option if you need less hassle, and high pressure pressing.
Vice will do perhaps a couple of tonne, but beyond that needs more HD hydraulic press as mentioned. You can use a courier as well, but that cost mounts up. TheThunderRolls🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

When I last did bushes (on my previous 110) I used the 20t press in my dads workshop and a couple of them took some getting out even with that. You may get the new ones in with a vice but you won't get all the old ones out. That said, as others have already commented, there are other ways of getting them out involving drilling and cutting but it is a real faff.
I am lucky in that when he retired I blagged the press - if you were a bit closer I'd happily let you use it but given it is in Newbury..... Unless you are going to be doing it a lot and you have the space I wouldn't bother buying a press yourself, far more cost effective and less hassle to buy the local workshop a drink and let them do the pressing for you. |
