Mines only done 64k yet. I do under 10k a year so at that rate I've got at least another 20 years plus to go. No Guts, No Glory.

Just a little update on the wheel arch product that i'm using, the arches have had a second wash and as i was drying Millie down i dried the wheel arches as well and as rubbed them, they came up like this ...............................
Click image to enlarge I'm impressed with it so far as normally it would of faded and you would of seen all sorts on the arches. So after one more wash and dry, i will let you know how it all goes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

As i have posted our green laning day out in " what did you do in your defender today " Millie had some other damage, the pic is of the bit of metal bent back into place, you can see where the tare in the metal is and i have pot riveted back in as the rivets that were holding it all in place just came right out, it had bent it self upwards about 30 degree's, i was very lucky that the indicator unit stayed in tack ............
Click image to enlarge The reflector went missing as well, but i got another one today and has been fitted I had to re attach the mud flap as well, no problems there The last bit of damage was the splash guards/trim, the same side as the above damage, it had broken it good and proper so off it comes and i then took the other side off as well .................................. Damaged side .............. Click image to enlarge The other side ........... Click image to enlarge The damaged splash guard/trim ........................ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I wont be putting another set on, will be leaving it as is 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

What caused the damage? There's some good rear corner protectors about that could save the back, they bolt to the rear crossmember and around the corner. Looked like a great day out though Ray

Not sure what caused the damage Ray, i'm assuming that it happened at the same time i did the front wing
I have looked at putting the corner protectors on but cant as i have my Laid supports fixed where they would go you can see in the pic what i mean ......................... Click image to enlarge 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |
