Make sure you get the Winter Pack!

Is it normal for water too come into the rear of the defender through the floor? My instinct tells me no.

Personally i don't see the point in paying £500 for radio and speakers from the factory. Ive got the same head unit you get from land rover for a fraction of the cost £150 to be exact. The wires are already there behind the dash, so with the correct iso lead it will fit straight away. Do you see my point?

Yeah winter pack is that..

Since then I’ve been bombarded with mail from HMRC, and my State Pension - already only the basic minimum - has been reduced by forty quid a week until the sources of my other income can be verified. Coincidence? I think not…

You have my total respect and statistically you must be one in many thousands who isn't up to his neck in debt and in effect working for the banks - not himself or family. Couple of my mates are in a similar position - zero debt, work hard and play hard and the Defender is bought outright for cash. Meanwhile others have the appearance of success but as they say up in Edinburgh "Its all fur coats and nae knickers".

Did the cargo net behind the seats come as standard? An engine to TDi for!

Can we assume that Lewis is still out driving around the countryside in his new toy (with a big grin on his face)?

Cuthbert… Unfortunately i have been in wales today working not with the defender though, so it hasn't moved all day. Apart from a a quick blast off with the jet wash.

Where is the best place to buy a mono steering wheel? The standard one is to large for my liking

As i didn't see the point in paying £500 for a factory fitted radio, i bought my own. So today, I'm going to buy the ISO cables and get it fitted

I did 50 miles in the car last night, Im not going to lie, white is going to be a pain to keep clean

You should try Loire blue! In my experience dark colours are worse by far!

At least your honest! How about a few more pix after you have washed it (yet again)?

Perhaps more importantly what has your post-delivery personal quality assurance check revealed - good and bad?

I have water leaking around the bottom of the tub, and up through the doors. What do i do about that?

Ive done 500miles in it so far, so good!

I will take some pics when i get chance, water has been off at the farm today, so haven't had a chance to clean it

That's really disappointing news for a vehicle that is only days old. Surprised the dealer didn't discover the door leaks when prepping the car - I assume someone washed it before you arrived to take ownership? Personally I'd be straight onto the dealer and tell them you want it sorted and pronto!
