So i got my defender back from the dealers on friday only to find out that they did not do half of the work that was requested and had been approved by land rover. So it is going back to get it done in two weeks.

Mine went into the dealer last week to have three jobs done. I had a courtesy Defender 90 for 3 days and when I got mine back they had only done one of the jobs. So back it goes in two weeks too.

I dropped my defender back at the dealers today, they're completing jobs they said they had done last time it was there.
So it's now there for the forth time since I've owned it. The courtesy car is a jag xf, which is strange as I'm not used to driving something so fast... |

im definitely using the wrong land rover dealer... while mines in i have a bog standard defender... no radio, central locking elec windows... Keswick green 14 plate hard top. just lovely. bit of a shock to the system.
(all for work it was supposed to have done last time it was in / had done and they didn't fix properly) |

Well guys after, 5 troubled months of owning my defender. Ive had nothing but bother with the dealership, Quality issues, The incident where i found the GPS tracking device.
Ive owned it five months, it has spent half of that time at the dealership. They have been great with giving me multiple courtesy cars, but its not the point as i bought the defender to drive and use, not use a courtesy car. Its time to say bye to my Defender, Im not happy and completely lost faith in the land rover brand. Time to move on. |

Are you sure that you didn't have unrealistic expectations as to what a new Defender is all about?
Dealership repairs scare me - very few seem to deliver a high quality after-sales service. |

I know defenders aren't know for having fantastic body work, and are good for keeping out water, etc. But at the end of the day for a vehicle less then 6 months old, it is surely not expected. It shouldn't happen...
