Are you going to sell it privately Lewis, seems a shame but can understand it, when one of my other cars was living at a dealership it was also the reason for me getting rid, although I stayed with the brand as am still here Defender puma dormobile camper

Well my defender went back in for 3 small jobs last Saturday. These are the jobs they should have done the first time but for some reason they didn't. I've had to wait weeks for them to have it back as they've been too busy to arrange the time. I had to take it to them as they were too busy to collect it. I've had their courtesy Defender 90 all week - as even though they said it would take 3 days they've taken all week. Called to say I could pick it up tomorrow or Monday but again they are too busy to come to me.
I've phoned them back and had a rant about their after sales service. Guess what, someone was supposed to call be back, but I guess they were too busy! Wonder if I'd have been treated the same if I'd kept the Evoque I had off them? Having said all this I still love the Defender and no other car will do as far as I'm concerned |

I really can't understand this bad service from main dealers with your defenders.
Mine are always happy to have my 200Tdi in and bend over backwards to help me out and really trying to help and know what they are doing. Yes they are probably the most expensive in the area but I always feel like they have worked for their money. And they always get it and I will always recommend them. I feel sad that your dealers have given you such shoddy service hope they make your buyback process easy and as pain free as possible. |

A friend of mine had nothing but problems with his 2.4 bought it from new, extended warranty, regular servicing by main dealer etc, but they weren't interested in the problems, forget how many clutches he got through and to top it all off his engine went at 60,000. Sadly rather than pride themselves on a good after sales service, it seems quite a few dealers are only interested in selling new vehicles. At the end of the day if they look after you you'll likely to buy from them again.

I must say, compared the the exceptional customer service I used to get with my John Copper Works Mini, the after sales service levels at Land Rover are shocking. I love the brand but unless the new Defender is exceptionally nice (and in line with what we want a defender to look and drive like) then I certainly wouldn't buy another Land Rover. The other cars they make are no more interesting or characterful than anything made by any other brand, but I expect the after sales service from other brands leaves them trailing.
It's strange - the local Jaguar dealer (same owner obviously) seems to be on a different plain to LR. Friends with an XF Sportbreak can't speak highly enough about the product and the customer service where they are made to feel like the most important people on the planet. |

What is that spec available for new? You put 8k on it in a relatively short time!
They may be asking too much, as in too close to the price of a brand new one |

I owned the Defender 6 months, its spent 3 months in the garage, so some how i managed to do that mileage in three months. The New value of that defender was £22k |

So for another 2k a buyer can get 0 miles on the clock and maybe have a few factory extras fitted.
I assume that is 22k list... Nobody pays list |
