I have waited patiently for a morning like this today, went out to Millie and started her like normal and then instead of getting out and on the bonnet to clear all the ice off of the windscreen, i stayed in my seat and flicked the switch for the heated windscreen and with in a minute or two i was on my way, i was well chuffed, happy days

You had ice today!!? Away down there? You must be joking surely? I'm probably as far away to the north tonight as it's possible to get without swimming, and it's pretty balmy. Certainly no need for a heated screen. My heated seats are all wired in and working great
All i need to do, ( i'm working on it at the moment ) is some heated mirror's

I guess I'm surprised because it's so far from frosty here. I don't think we've seen any frost yet.
While I got the wiring and switch for the heated screen installed a few months ago, I haven't got the glass yet on the basis of the 'new screen gets chipped immediately' effect. It's getting on for that time though. Glad to hear it's something I can smugly look forward to! Donald
