An interesting/unusual update
As i had not been keeping an eye on the front tyre's regarding the ware rate i had a look at them and noticed that they were warring on the inside, so i got them changed around, good idea i thought as i was very sure i had got a set of BFG's without white lettering on, so yesterday i gave Millie a good wash all over and guess what i found .................................. Before ........................... Click image to enlarge After ......................... Click image to enlarge Yes you guessed it, white lettering This did not gone down well with my OCD so last week on my way to work, i was going around a right hand corner and the back end of Millie twitched this has never happened especially when loaded, so when i got home from work i checked all the tyre pressure's and the N/B was very low, so pumped up to the right pressure, thinking i must have a slow puncture, so on Friday, just gone, i checked them again and again pressure was very low, so working on Saturday i could not go and get the tyre checked out, but i did have a good look and i found what i thought was causing the air to leak, it was a piece of metal in the side of the tyre, yes the bit they don't repair any more so today i had the tyre checked and the piece of metal turns out to be a very deeply embedded thorn so i had to have a new tyre put on and luckily i had a new one as a spare so the 2 new back tyre's match the old tyre's on the front Click image to enlarge So all, Millie is a bit of a rebel at the moment What's your view on her new look for now 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. I like it, the correct way around now.
I've had thorns in mine before but on the tread, glass is the biggest risk though! Pretty sure it was a glass bottle that ended my old GG TR's but luckily they were being changed the same week or two anyway and glass cut in my 235 KM2's I had. My latest ones sizing recommended by Mr Blackwolf on here are lovely, more footprint, better improved rude abd more supple. 255/85 now. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R š¬š§š“ó §ó ¢ó „ó ®ó §ó æš“ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó æš“ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó “ó æš®šŖšŗšøā½ļøš¢ļøāļøš§°šŖ |

Millie's looking fine and dandy. Like the lettering on the outside, adds some more character.
cheers, Simon |
