Expecting a world religion to apologise for a few nutters is a stupid notion.
I am white male so should I apologise every time a white man does something wrong as I am in that group. It's ridiculous. There is a real sense of relief on the faces of people liberated from IS areas. They no more share their beliefs than we do. The problem is the wider ramifications which it causes.
A delivery driver came this morning with a sheet of steel, I started helping him unstrap it and just generally talking, finding out how he is where he is going next - usual sort of thing and he seemed very nervous. He then suddenly turned to me and asked "are you American?" which puzzled me because I don't really have an accent other than I suppose Kentish? I told him no I'm British and laughed why is that? "you the nicest English person I have talked to this week. My last delivery they just told me to F*** off pa**ie, All I get is abuse but you are the first English person who has been nice to me, which is why I thought you were American because Americans have always been nice to me". I was absolutely shocked I couldn't believe what he was telling me. He opened up about how much abuse he gets on a daily basis and I just stood there dumbstruck. So I helped him with his load, signed the paperwork and off he went. These are exactly the sort of things which cause radicalisation. He just wanted to get through his day job so he could go home to his family, something we all do daily but nobody should be subjected to racist or islamaphobic or any other phobic abuse. Everyone agrees that Terrorists are dicks and nobody but terrorists want them to succeed. But its not only in Islam, you only have to go back 20 years (well within my lifetime) and it was the Irish who were the terrorists coming over and blowing up innocent people (in many ways more devastating than the latest attacks) but there wasn't hatred for just Irish people. Sadly there will always be those amongst us who willingly blame an entire section of the population purely because they are different to themselves and they hate different. Those who want isolation, walls, segregation in my eyes are just cowards. |

^^^ We should deport all Adrians even though they were born here and build a big wall to stop any of them getting back in. We should also be issued with guns and be allowed to shoot an Adrian on sight as they are bound to be rotten to the core and hell bent on destruction. Phil
