Mmm, like the look of that. Got any pics without the wheel on Brendan? Do the fix to the original holes on the door? John

Sorry I can not answer your questions at the moment. I saw this one about 3 months ago before it went into production. Now they have started to produce them and have some on the shelf! Will get more photos and information next week. Brendan |

OK I know it has taken some time to get photos.
Here is one of the bare wheel carrier. To swop from high position to low all you do is swop the receiver mount through 180 degrees. You can also see the size of the bottom mount. For a single pivot mount carrier it does have to be reasonably beefy Click image to enlarge Brendan |

Hi Brendan
Looking good - like the idea of rotating the fitting to allow larger tyres Just a thought - could a fitting be made to attach to the reciever to take a bike carrier. The advantage would be that the bike and carrier would allow the door to open which the tow hitch versions do not. Cheers Mark |

130 wheel carrier is no different to a 110 / 90 carrier (obviously the tailgat rather than rear door version). John

John, a standard 90/110 pick up wheel carrier will NOT fit a 130.
The rear cross member is fully under the rear tub. it would require a big bracket fitted to rear cross member to extend to back of the tub. The problem I would envisage is the leverage effect of weight of spare wheel. It could be done, however Safari Equip have never done one as they have never been asked for one. So it would be a special one off Simon and costs quite high. However Simon if you bought a standard one and knew a good fabricator/welder it would be possible to have one done yourself. I understand from the factory that the single pivot ones are ready to go. i.e. parts on shelves, much easier to store parts then assembled ones. Brendan |

Me but AndrewS extended his cross member out to suit. The problem with using a standard Safari equip one as Brendan suggests is you would have no way of locking it closed as that type relies on using the back door , so it won`t work on a pickup / double cab 90-110-130. |
