I will start using her from Thursday as i have to take the hire van back tomorrow Thumbs Up

The only thing that has been put on different is the injection pump ( got from DEF2 ) as my original injection pump was starting to leak, other wise everything was took off my old engine to put on this one and she has a standard engine in again Very Happy

I love the fact that a knackered engine is not even near finishing your truck off. How many other vehicles would be near the 400k mark and then consider a replacement motor. I’m coming up to 100K and happy with that. Also the fact that there are so many options to replace with is unheard of in any other vehicle. Great that Millie is back on the road.

Agree with you there Siwynne Thumbs Up

The engine had a good first innings and will soon be back in to bat! Great you're planning to put original engine back but.... I would be so tempted with the om606! James

Thanks James, i'm very pleased with myself on making that decision with putting the original engine back in as my indie said that he would love to have a go at putting the OM606 in Millie Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up

I would have gone for a Td5 engine that he had on his workshop floor waiting for a buyer but he said it would need all the wires that go with it, never mind Sad 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

engine conversions can be a nightmare if you don't have all the bits! you could find a TD5 that's wrote off in a breakers and ask how much for the full loom, but it would be better off you removing it Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I know what you mean Procta, but if you could put in a Td5 with out 90% of the wiring, it would be in there now Wink

Yes i would agree with you there charcoal Thumbs Up

On a better note, Millie passed her MOT with only 2 advisories, well happy with that Mr. Green 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
