Thats a steel cladding screw with seal, often used on farm barn cladding.
Very annoying indeed, that may just be within repairability but it’s close. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I knew it was repairable as i had a puncture on or very near the wall edge and they said new tyre can't fix it
Yes they are lethal things, but good for going through metal without drilling a hole first 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

What a pain in the arse that is! You can get them fixed near the edge, but it will have to go away to be done. My local coach works sent my tire off. But it still was never the same, so it was used as a spare. But again it would just go down. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Annoying part is they often get these things towards the edge. That was just where I had a glass cut once with an old set but was actually closer to the edge.
Luckily it happened a week before I had a brand new set going on, piece luck and it was a slow puncture as well. A lot of this stuff comes off the back of flat bed vans etc, I once had a scaffold bolt fly off one oncoming and missed me by about 2ft. I remember seeing it fly by, and it was a flatbed transit style van with short scaffold holes on the back stuck up and it come off that. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I was in a similar position a couple of weeks ago. Mine turned out to be two nails in different places luckily they could be repaired but it’s just a massive pain to sort as mine was completely flat so I had to do all the grunt work getting it off and re fitting Ray

Just make sure next time you have one Ray, make sure it's a screw bolt and not a nail or two
It is pot luck were they go in, this time i was lucky, last time it was a new tyre 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

So on Saturday morning i set about my two little changes to Millie's appearance, as we all know that powder coating is okay to the point that when it starts to flake off, a pic of Millie's rear
Click image to enlarge So job 1 was to change the mud flap brackets as the powder coating was flaking off i took them off, they came off all okay with no problems i then went to my shed to change them over to these Click image to enlarge as the mudflaps were pot riveted on i had to drill them out and then put some nut and bolts to hold them on again, when the flap was off they had these plastic washers on Click image to enlarge so i used them again to separate the bolt head from the galvanise, both sides done Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge before fitting to Millie, a bit naked looking without the mudflaps Click image to enlarge both sides fitted Click image to enlarge Job 2 was to change over the tail gate hinges, in the pic above you can see the new looking black ones, i got these so i could get the old ones shot blasted as with the mudflap hinges and then all galvanised Click image to enlarge With them fitted Click image to enlarge then a pic with both jobs done Click image to enlarge Both jobs went without any problems, so it does happen once in a while I'm very pleased with the way it looks now 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
