Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

On the "Queen's Greatest Hits" album, it's followed by "Another One Bites the Dust"... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Whoever said "one person can't change the world", had obviously never eaten under-cooked bat.

Not quite sure how I can regale you with this shocking tale i have just witnessed from my livingroom window through the net curtains but here goes.
First a bit of background, We live in a dead end road with a turning circle at the end so we get al ot of people come down, turn around and leave. As such we are well in the habit of peering out the window to see who has turned up, bit of a neighbourhood watch! Its quite nice, we have very pleasant neighbours on both sides, then a couple of students who live around "the circle" and a lovely called Sue who lives opposite on her own at no.22. Now were quite lucky in that despite the lockdown we still get daily deliveries of milk which has made it much easier to exist! Every morning we here the familiar clatter of the transit as it turns round, we know its definitely Earnest, our milkman, mostly because of the off beat of its engine which sounds worse than it is. Honestly why they don't go back to Electric floats is beyond me but I'm sure there is a reason. Anyway, we must be a fair way along his route as he always stops in our road for his break, which is understandable given he probably starts at 4am! Recently I have noticed that Earnest and Sue seem to know each other as he often sits with her and they share a cup of cocoa. Which is quite sweet, That said, he doesn't always get it it. I reckon its only about 3 times a week they do, I imagine its because she is a bit proud and would never want to be seen to be talking with a tradesman, she is quite posh. I once had to sign and receive a John Lewis Package for he and when i went over later to give it to her (as a good neighbour would!) i was shocked by how modern and chic her house was. Anyway I digress. Recently we have also gained a local artisanal bakery which has a door to door service run by a chap called Theodor, or as we call him "Ted the Bread!" Me and my girlfriend love his treacle tarts and his wholemeal bread is the best "shop bought" I have ever sampled! Since the lockdown he has also started diversifying (very sensibly) to doing these huge meat pies which are to die for! Given his ingenuity we have been getting all sorts from him, especially as he is doing such a wide range, we can have hot rolls every morning and crumpets every night! Now, Ted has also been popping into Sue's place for a cocoa in the afternoon, often for a slice of layered cake as well as its jolly good! Not that I'm watching mind you, just keen to see the what everyone is upto on Market St! Anyway, to bring you to this mornings shocking events! Earnest was sat having his well earned coco with his van sat outside. Being as its a bank holiday I think he was having an extra long break as again he has probably been up since half past 4! So anyway, Ted swings down the road and in trying to turn around in "The Circle" he bashed Earnest's van! Oh boy was he triggered! He came flying out into the road his cocoa in his hand, yoghurt in the other! "I saw that, I need your details for the insurance man" he shouted past his van. "oh why don't we go privately though a body shop?" Ted begrudgingly replied as he jumped out of his cab "and just to make it easier they can re-signwrite that whole side!" At this point I'm sorry to say it took a darker turn as they stood there face to face and a scuffle broke out beneath the scorching sun! Ted reached into his cab to grab the remains of his Bun, but Earnest was to quick and was already stood by the door, which knocked his yoghurt spinning from his hand. At this point Sue ran out and tried to get between them to try and calm things down and keep them apart, but Earnest in his anger slipped on the yoghurt and fell on the hardened concrete road. Sadly, he died instantly as he had trouble with his heart. Such as shame at only 52, no age to die. He loved his job and I'm sure he is still doing deliveries in the sky. Poor old Earnest. Its funny how grief effects people as it awoke something in Ted, who asked to marry Sue! Now by this point I hope its obvious And to anyone who made it to end well done!
