Keep threatening to shave my Dog I agree with Zagato, there is something kind of enjoyable removing dog hair from carpets and upholstery |

I have had some success removing dog hair using a small wire brush with brass bristles, but it's very slow.

Very nice Bowler in with only 9500 miles on the clock. I did this from new in clear coat and it is in for a once over before it goes into storage!!

VERY nice 15 plate with only 12500 miles on the clock. Decided to give it clear coat Dinitrol Corroheat on the underside and three coats of polish on the top sides!

It’s very tidy, but if I only did 50 miles a week in mine I’d expect it to look tidy too imagine only doing 7 miles a day in it since 2015...... 2015 HT XS 90

Good This one pictured as you can see was pretty mucky as it is used up country tracks, I won,t show the inside , another dog truck but at least the underside is now thoroughly cleaned and protected Another reminder to folks about keeping on top of the ACF-50 treatments, it is really important and will save a lot of grief and expense in the short term and keep the value in your vehicle. E.G. Don,t forget to keep treating the gap between hinge and bulkhead, it is bare metal in between, once rot sets in it is a major job! This one pictured, a 2010 model has never been done. You can see the rust taking hold. Go around your vehicle regularly to treat under the capping which is also bare metal, as well as rivets, etc ,etc. Or I can do it for you Click image to enlarge |

Mine are like that, I have had to repair one side as it rusted through. It is caused by mud and rubbish from the rear wheel making it wet behind. I've cleaned mine out, re-dinitrolled them and then fitted Gwyn Lewis shields to keep them a bit cleaner in future. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

When folks wash Defenders they just blast off what is in front of them, this is next to useless, you have to get the muck off that is trapped behind the wing areas etc also... come back on yourself, for instance go out now and feel how much dirt you have between the "eyebrow" and wheel arch, it soon collects here. Will put a pic below for you. I can get a whole bucket of mud off the area on a 110 that is in front of the rear wheel look under the "sill" area here also, on a 110 there is a grommet, take it out and flush all the muck out, dry and spray with cavity wax. DInitrol supply a very good 360 degree long spray nozzle.
Despite some very good attempts over the last ten years and hundreds of Defenders, I have never had one in that is completey clean and it is in these areas where the muck just sits and rots away at the metal. Get your fingers in and have a good feel around Feel where the plastic eyebrow is attached to the wing, there is a finger width gap with fasteners... got it? Yeah dig it all out and flush! Loads of similar muck traps, people think because it is Alloy it won't rot.... it does! Click image to enlarge Big trap here, get your fingers in... These were just some pics I sent to a client a couple of weeks ago. A mud trap guide is a whole new episode. I need to update this corrosion one also, as there are so many areas and more detail than I have previously listed as you can tell from the last few posts.
