One other thing I would also check is the pointless plastic cover that covers the torx screw that hold the transfer lever in place. Mine was producing a rattle that was VERY similar to the dreaded clutch rattle so I used a bit of soft foam in the recess where the pedistal locates, reinstalled (now a very snug fit) and cured it.

Err, Sadi, these have been available for a while now.

I ordered one from Synchro Gearboxes about 3 months ago, massive improvement with the gearshifts! --

Another happy Customer Thumbs Up

the super glueing also sorted my vibration problem so great news. If it helps, I used a pair of levers used to change a bicycle tyre to help replace the gearstick gaitor and it worked a treat. Sweatysock

Iโ€™ve just joined this club. It was great to find a job at the right level for my technical ability. I even got the gaitor back on without breaking anything. Hurrah! Thanks for the clear instructions. Thumbs Up

Are the cable ties just wedged in to compress the weights and stop them from moving ..or are they pulled tight through the cable tie eyelet like a normal cable tie? What size are the ties?

I didnโ€™t use ties but superglue myself but you can go for both if you like. If you did use zip ties they have to be pretty large and long. Personally Iโ€™d stick with superglue and re do it in future if needed. No Guts, No Glory.

Though slightly off topic, and having ran it for some time Iโ€™m really pleased with the Shift R V2 from TMD.
Makes for a really nice gear changes, would make for a really nice Christmas present for someone.

Just thought I would put this out there, as itโ€™s an ideal job to do whilst so living a gear stick rattle at the same time. No Guts, No Glory.
