Puma genuine instrumen cluster replacement vs Dakota Digital
As I’ve some issues with my instrument cluster and also the fact that it’s modded to display gear selection with my 6 speed auto install (including a splash screen on start up), I’m looking at having it repaired by a Speedo specialist once I find one.
In case it can’t be repaired, I’ve been looking at purchasing a suitable replacement and sending both units to Les Richmond Automotive in Melbourne to have them transfer the vehicle security and odometer data across, as well as have the gear display board added to the new cluster.
Land Rover want $3187.95 for a new cluster ex UK, nil stock in Oz and then there’s the cost of freight and labour so this is a pretty expensive exercise.
That being the case, I’m looking into options re aftermarket cluster build, as supplied from Dakota Digital or similar. The gear select board will still need to be accounted for though.
Has anyone any contacts for supply of Dakota Digital clusters and-or details of an instrument repair business who repairs instrument clusters?
Thanks for any info re options and best wishes all.
Ken

I’d go with a digital dash from a respected motorsport company. AIM, ecumaster, Haltech etc. There are also companies which 3d print surrounds so they fit properly in your dash.WARNING.
