Just left my Puma for the 12k service and the dealer was aware of the P022 recall. He said that I should receive an official letter in the next days, but he will do the job anyway.

My 2007 Puma DC has the VIN SALLDHFS77A7362xx and I would expect it to be affected by this recall, however I haven't heard from LR and TOPIx doesn't list it as outstanding. Can anyone confirm if it should be recalled?

Thanks!

On TOPIx there is a note of the following:

DVD125_05_V72 - (LR) IDS software update DVD125_05 releas...

Is this important and will it apply to out of warrantee vehicles?

Could you help me how I should put this to the dealer. As I don't know what it's for, I don't want to be fobbed off.

I don't know about others, but I'm finding this a bit hard to follow. It's obviouly quite important for Land Rover to go to the trouble of recalling vehicles, so it would be good to know exacly what vehicles are afftected and statements like this really don't help:

Quote:
all Pumas need checking 07/11my

Does it mean:
a) all Pumas regardless of age need checking (in which case why was a range of VIN numbers originally specified)?
b) all Pumas between the years of 2007 and 2011 need checking?
c) all Pumas from July 2011 need checking?
d) all Pumas from November 2007 need checking?
e) and does checking infer just checking, or is the remedial work required?

Does anyone have the definitive details on this one?

I have as yet received no recall letter so assume my December 2010 registered 11MY XS 90 isn't affected, but it would be nice to know for sure.

Pete

XS Pete,

A way to see if yours is included is to be suscribed (free) to the TOPIX.

http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm

From there with your VIN you can check if this recall also affect your 90XS.

Cheers Eduardo
