2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Zermatt Silver

Any other cosmetic upgrades

Hi guys,
So I have been doing a bit of cosmetic work on my defender lately (black checker plates, upgraded wheels, sprayed roof in black, remove all traces of corrosion on the body…) and I am now at a stage where I find it almost perfect cosmetically.

Before I slowly start to upgrade the inside, I was wondering whether you guys could suggest any further “tasteful” upgrades that wouldn’t cost a fortune.

I am considering getting the front grille and front lights plates painted in black… potentially an upgraded front bumper w LED inserts… I would also love a roof rack but cannot fit one due to height restrictions.

Any other thoughts?

I quite like the body coloured grille on a silver landy. Bumper would look smart though. Nice house by the way!

It's obviously a very personal preference but if it were me I'd go for black grill and light surrounds. I'm a traditionist, though

Body coloured or black wing mirrors if they aren't already

Also, billet fuel cap for me is a must. Had enough of them disintegrating everyone I filled up..! Stuart

Paint the chequer on the bumper black. Nice looking 110 though that > 110 XS Double Cab

Black powder coated stainless steel snow cowl for heater intake on top of near side wing. Like this. https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/stainless-steel-snow-cowl/

Stops leaves , snow , water and other debris getting in the heater intake ducting, and black powder coated stainless steel looks rather nice as a cosmetic enhancement.

As you are in London how about some multi coloured underbody led lights and a subwoofer the size of a dustbin……..

I don't think I've ever had a fuel cap disintegrate. What do you do to them?? Darren
