Lorryman is it worth paying to access the site. I have just registered but you can only get so far in till it asks for money! It seems to have a massive list of faults. Also how come there's two gearbox options?

Had mine done last week during the service/m.o.t. Not been informed in writing that it was an issue this time though.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I didn't get the topic reply email? I usually go on the site once a month and pay for 1 days access. That way I get all the heads up I want before going to the dealer with a specific fault/query. Topix also lists what's new for free, then if you deem it necessary you can then buy time to ...ahem.....copy and paste....cough..cough.. any new info. As to the two gearbox options, mine only show's one (6 speed manual transmission MT82)?

HTH Brian.

They will not acknowledge this recall in New Zealand, says it is only for Uk, I suspect you guys have better stronger consumer protection laws and they are fobbing off the rest of the world, had it done at service in 20 minutes anyway

Had a letter on Friday telling me to get this seen to immediately. Considering how long this has been an issue they took their time contacting me. When I checked my vehicle was outside the VIN batch that needed to be recalled.Anyway I am not worried and e-mailed the dealer to add to my list of to do's when I bring the vehicle in in May. My take is that they wanted to do all the effected VIN range vehicles first now they are checking the rest. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I rang Marshalls of Cambridge last week, who didn’t seem to happy that I rang. Maybe I’m doing them a favour, that’s what it felt like. Still today I received the Land Rover letter, you know the one, ‘your brakes will fail, you will die, book it in’ sort of thing. Said it would take 2 hours at least. So Thursday it is. Will let you know the outcome.
