Get an answer of our dealer in Chile.
The recall is active since last thursday and they are waiting for the spares to start the changes. They probably start in 2 weeks more. Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Hi Peter,
Mines in on Saturday at Marshalls I'm hoping as it's the weekend and hopefully quiet to try and see if I can get in the workshop when the mech sorts mine. How long were you in with yours? Don't really rate the service desk in there to be fair though! Was quoted wrong price for service on complete different engine too! Wouldn't mind but the board with prices per relevant service/vehicle were right in front of me too was just trying to see if bird behind desk was trying to have me over..... Hi Craig,
Hope all goes well with your 110 on Saturday, I’m not a fan of the service desk either. There is no feedback and, as you say, the best thing is to speak to a technician, they seem very capable. Our 110 was in for 2½ hours, although they cleaned it (not needed) and so we took our GT6 and shopped. They didn’t fill in the Recall section of the service book, so check with yours before you leave. We are off to Gaydon for Easter for the Convoy for Heroes event, then it’s Derbyshire. If you are out for a greenlane, let me know and I’ll see if I can make it. Or we could go for an ‘unofficial’ one. Peter |

Hi Peter,
As you say the mechanics there are very good just the service/sales let them down, I've found the parts guys at the bottom end of the complex very good too. Will be sure to check they square service docs away to. Are you off to Gaydon with BHC? Are you there over the Heritage weekend? Might try and get over to Thetford prior to Gaydon so will give you a shout to see if your free. Cheers, Craig Sweep 2.2 110 XS SW ---------------------------- Gone; 08 D3 XS BN55 WPV G4 4.4V8 D3. Hi Craig,
The BHCLR are at Gaydon 29/30apr and 1may11, whereas we are there at Easter which is weekend before. The heritage day is on the Monday 1may11, so the club will be there but we won’t. Let me know what you actually get done for the P022 fix, I’m interested to know the full story. BTW all my lights work now, only took two years! Let me know when you’re over our way, I’ve some lanes around here worth trying. Peter |

In case it is of any interest, I finally got around to ringing up to ask about this - my Defender (2007 UK spec DC VIN LD736***) is affected and is booked in for this check to be done. At the same time I have asked for the outstanding Q068 to be done, and the old-style sump swapped out for a new one. Westover Salisbury (formerly Ottons) don't seem to have any info on the sump replacement (Technical Service Bulletin LTB00110) but have said that they look into it between now and the Def going in. |

My handbreak stopped working last week so i popped down to my local Ford -LR dealer and was told it's not a recall (as he fiddled with his computer) and that it would take ten days to get the seal, so i rang Paddocks and now (five days later)i have the seal and new shoes. At least i know it will be done properly and the gearbox will be full with the right oil. The dealers here in France are useless and i don't know why i bother with them anymore. I'm actually pleased my warranty period is up. I'LL FIX IT MYSELF.
Sorry for shouting. 130 crew cab 98 V8 Disco |

...my car came from the dealer last Tuesday, did the 1Yr/20000km service (in my case was 1Yr) and that recall was made ... don't know exactly if anytthing was replaced, but a service bulletin was opened for it ...!
I'll have to go back there for another problem, will check if anything was replaced Regards Joao '10 Land Rover Defender 110 CC '08 BMW F800GS '64 SIIA Forward Control '69 SIIA 109 ZA CKD _____________________________________________ You have the right to remain silent. Mine was done last week. Dealer said there was no oil leak and pads were ok. Work all done and book stamped.
Drove 20 miles home and vehicle has been on the drive all week. Go to use it this morning and it looks like all the oil from the transfer box is now all over my drive, all round the handbrake drum, in fact you name it and it is probably covered in oil I think LR assist will be collecting it and taking it back to the dealer unless the dealer says it is OK to drive back. ...Bob,
while wrecking my truck this afternoon ( ), i did notice laying under the car that i have shiny bolts at the rear prop flanges. hopefully meaning that the tech had to remove the prop to fiddle with the handbrake...like remove a now redundant washer (source Land Rover recall)... went in thurs, how long before i lose my oil... keep us informed please |

Around 98 when LR had massive leak problems with the Disco's and Range Rovers they did indeed pay for new drives - if you lived in America...in the UK you had no chance. Now i expect you have no chance anywhere Mike |
