So today I final got too drop the 90 off at the garage to get the new clutch and dmf fitted. Can't wait to get it back and be able to drive it properly again without worrying about a slipping clutch.

So finally got the 90 back at the weekend new clutchfix HD1 cultch and valeo dmf fitted. It also needed a new clutch fork and pushrod as they were badly worn and had been causing a noise when using the clutch. Got to say new clutch and dmf combo is working like a dream.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I have now noticed there is a vibration noise coming from the gear stick when accelerating hard particularly in 3rd and 4th, it was there before clutch was changed and thought that was the cause but it wasn't any ideas Last edited by Oakseywick on 31st Aug 2017 6:45am. Have you glued the weights at the base of the gear stick yet? Common cause of gear stick rattle.

Got home from a few days away with work to a nice lot of goodies
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The 90 is in the garage today for MOT and they are fitting the slick shift while trying to eliminate the annoying vibration from the gear stick. So fingers crossed it will come back feeling nicer too use with no advisory |

So the 90 passed and the gearstick vibration is sorted out with the slick shift fitted not had a proper chance to test it out yet though so will report back.

So tried out the slick shift today , what a improvement in the gear shift far more accurate and easy to find gears . Just need to heat and bend gear stick a bit as it is just hitting the air con in 1st and 3rd. still has a bit of rattle but the turret is a little worn according to the garage so will replace that and I think the cheap gear knob I fitted might be part of the problem as well so will change these both to hopefully finally get rid of the gearstick vibrations.

Seriously considering the slick shift. Is it not adjustable to not hit the aircon? Ray

Yes Ray it is supposedly the garage might not have adjusted quite right but will look at that when fit new turret and see if I can adjust before bending. Go for it Ray I don’t think you will be disappointed
