Got the jate ring painted in rcp and cio from buzzweld. Will get it fitted tomorrow with a picture

Got the jate ring fitted this afternoon. I put an M12 threaded bar through for added strength as I don't want my home made device failing and becoming dangerous! Only had nut caps for the M12 nuts so not quite as tidy as I would have liked but it's on ready for the weekend

If you do have to use your jate ring, dont forget plenty of pics

Its all part of the fun getting stuck and you dont loose any pride

Well I didn't get stuck

had a great time on Salisbury Plain with Dan (L90 DNY on here) and Ross and got very very muddy! Really impressed how my defender coped being as road biased as it is. Really great fun!
Quick before shot. We all met just outside Devizes at 9 this morning.

After a few more lanes we stopped for a cuppa. As we were stopped loads of people started throwing themselves out of a plane! It was great to see as I haven't seen sky-diving before. My phone wouldn't have done it justice but it was great to watch! (Getting muddier!)

Then for a play in the mud pit. I passed on this section as a chap with a 110 on all terrains beached on it so I did the just as muddy but not as deep bypass. A shot of Dan getting through successfully.

On to a bit of open byway to go to the little chef down the road for a toilet break.

What a fantastic day. Having a guided tour was really good. Doing non damaging lanes and Tom the guide knew where to go because the red flags were up. The only disappointment was that I didn't get to use my jate ring
