Yes L90DNY,
Engine wise; Hybrid variable geometry turbo by turbo technics. Allisport intercooler (full size). Black silicone hoses. 100mm airbox feed with water separator removed. EGR delete. Decat down pipe 3 inch exhaust with rear exit. Injector plunger gaps set (made quite a difference to mine). Dual channel anti limit box (MAP and MAF). Matched engine calibration by IRB developments. Drive train and brake wise; Goodridge stainless brake hoses. 110 vented brakes front and solid rear with the larger 110 rear calipers and discs. Full superpro bushes. 24.5mm rear anti roll bar with custom solid mounts. -2 inch 3 stage progressive suspension with Bilstien dampers all round. 30mm solid steering and track bar from Gwyn Lewis. HD R380 gearbox with uprated bearings and the 5th gear out of a disco 2 V8 for quieter motorway cruise. Q cut HD LT230 transfer box with 1.22 gearing and an Ashcroft ATB centre diff. Also a slick shift which if I am honest I'm not overly impressed with. However it is on a new gearbox so may well free up with time Yet to fit; A big brake kit coming from IRB, 6pot vented fronts and 4pot rears ATB diffs front and rear. And exhaust as mentioned. All of the above give a car like ride quality and handling on road whilst still being flexible enough off road. The gearing gives 33 ish mph per 1000 rpm so 80mph is around 2350 rpm. Around where I live in average about 32mpg on a run about 28 but I tend to sit at 80 on the motorway. Hope that helps Last edited by grafty99 on 14th Nov 2019 6:53pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Quick update on the Range Rover classic stalks, I can't find the pictures I took whilst I was doing it but basically;
Carefully cut the hazard switch off leaving the clip for the switch holder. Once removed make sure non of the brass contact strips inside are touching. Click image to enlarge Then there is some work required to get the range rover switch holders to fit the defender column but I can't find any pictures of that part on Google. When they are mounted then you have to slightly enlarge the switch apertures on the defender plastic shroud as the stalks are chunkier so need more room to move. I had to do some final trimming on the stalks themselves for the last bit of movement in this area; Click image to enlarge That is the best I can do with Google images. I will take some pictures later of the finished article in the daylight 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

That's great insight into the stalk fitting.
Re the wiring, having never removed the stalks, do the existing connectors just fit the new stalk and into the same pin numbers? Also, what is the black wire pictured for? Thanks |

The large black cable is the fiber optic strands for the illumination. I shrink wrapped a green led onto the end of each one for side for the illumination.
As for the wiring I think that the defender loom plugs into the range rover stalks for the most part but to be honest I can't fully remember 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |
