Well it's been quite a while since an update! Mostly because I've been building me and Mrs Graftys house and have had very very little spare time!
Anyway the house is very nearly finished so I have more defender time The old aircon condenser was very much past its best and wasn't particularly efficient at slow speeds. After taking a deep breath and closing my eyes I ordered a new genuine parts condenser assembly To stop this one resembling scar face's desk after a couple of months I stripped and prepped the new assembly down completely and coated it with buzzweld GIO. Then I rebuilt it using all stainless fixings and decided to use the original fan alongside the new one for double cooling power, if it doesn't provide any more cooling power at least it looks cool To top off the installation I replaced the O-rings and thought it was a good time to graduate from tip polishing to the full pipe (probably a joke for long term thread followers ) Anyway - some pictures! Hello all
A very, very overdue update! Lots has happened since I was last here - nearly 12 months It's been quite a year all told. Work has been very busy this year - which, in itself, has been time consuming. Also squeezed in there was finishing off building our house (which is pretty much done) and I'm now a married man! Both the defender and RRC were ribboned up. Range Rover taking the bride and my 90 taking the bridesmaids. Annoyingly I forgot to take a proper picture of them both together but there are pre wedding photos Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I think I eluded to earlier in this thread - I quite like works V8 alloys. Well that has also happened, I'm sure to the dismay of most of you! Don't worry though, I've kept the tatty old VBS alloy's for winter tyres (when I get around to it). Much more recently (Saturday) we've had snow in Woolacombe so I'll include some of those too. Anyway enough rattling on, as per usual, here are some pictures Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

A few weeks ago, we had a load of heavy rain, the car started to misfire, it wouldn't go over 40 mph at all, it would just start misfiring. I checked the ECU, and there was OIL in the at, so a new loom, and a clean down for that. Also changed the throttle pedal, because there was water around the sensor area, Plus it threw the engine man light on a few times, So i am suspecting the pedals failing. I cannot test it yet with the snow, its still in bits air box wise. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

That's annoying! If it isn't the pedal it could be the crank sensor - the loom can break down. I think pace automotive make an overlay loom 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
