Just contacted bell auto services and they no longer sell the EGR blanking plate. Anyone else is selling it?

I made it myself with stainless steel (0,8 mm thickness)

It's the first from the top (remember, metric dimensions)

I'm having a problem fitting my EGR blanking plate to my new 110, this is the same plate I used on my 90 for the last 3 years with the hole in the middle. The problem I am having is with the new bolts attaching the manifold to the EGR system, on my 90 they were bolts that you undid and withdrew. On the new 110 they are nuts on bolts which means you have to move the whole EGR system backwards off the bolts to slide the plate in.

I'm sure anyone that has done this understands what I am talking about? How did you do it.

Thanks Rich Thumbs Up

I think by now it's been established (not scientifically ofcourse) that blanking the EGR without getting fault codes is possible if engine breathing is vastly improved:

I'm installing the following upgrades in the next 2 weeks:

- Stage 2 Tune Kit + Remap and Delimiter
- Samco sport silicone hoses
- Performance Exhaust system
- Lowered performance suspension system
- Allisport propane kit

Would blanking the EGR be of any extra benefit ?

If there is any benefit, what would I notice in terms of performance gains ?

BadWookie, any updates on your mods? Did you blank the EGR?

Off Topic Hi there Red Desert. Jut noticed you are out there in Germany. I will be heading back to Germany in November (Paderborn). So what is going on in the world of Land Rover out there? I will probably be going to Freizeitpark Mammut at some point- it is one of my most favourite plces in Germany other than the mountains through the winter Smile

That's the detail I (and others here) would like to know - how are they going to do that? Will it involve a mechanical implement or will it require some sort of software patch?

Definately not keen!!!! Unless of course they can guarantee 100% that it will be compatable with the remap I paid a significant amount for.

There are numerous individuals working on a solution and I feel the one who can come up with a mechanical solution will 'coin it in' from me certainly!

Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Indeed, although in this day & age, I doubt you can get around the software part.

What would be interesting is if a mechanical device of some sort were able to 'fool' the EGR/MAF sensor into thinking that the EGR was still there Neutral
