Yes it was a standard item, however the supplier found them in a box of odds and sods so could not tell me where they got them or what they are called. I have posted pictures on the D3 site as some of the guys over there have 'contacts' and there is more of them. http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post345511.html#345511 I will continue to see if I can track them down. Basically all you need is a male end that is about 9.6 to 9.9 Ø and about 20 to 30 long. |

Now to obtain the difficult bits as there is currently no stock in town of clear plastic tube or the rubber pump

So your nearest Land Rover service centre isn't 1100km away - 680km is dirt track and there are numerous water crossings?

If a male is so thin and as short as 20 - 30 he is probably Chinese or Indian

Hi Andrew,
I think that the TD5 discovery fuel connection is the same. I will check out the dimensions. I keep the short pipe (which would have both male & female connections on it), which was used on the recall on discovery tank pipes where they rubbed through. These are quite cheap & if the same dimensions would be very easy to use. I'll post back ASAP regards Steve |

No the TD5 connections are 8mm, so no good.

Are there any other connections the same as that on the vehicle?
The price from Landrover for the fuel line £26+vat for the bit between the filter & the fuel cooler, this seems to have both male & female connections on it. The fuel line from tank to filter is only about £15+vat, but am unsure of the connections at the tank end. HTH Regards Steve |

That diesel came from my company Toyota diesel and was used to clean some dirty engine bits.
Cheapest engine cleaner in the world. (company diesel card) ![]() I tested the pump in the jar before I cleaned the bits in the jar. Still need to test the pump on the Puma but the measurement is exact to the drawing so I am not in a rush to test the contraption as yet. Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |
