Shame to hear.
Still best of luck with the travelling.
I've always had a fairly positive response on ebay selling second hand. Im sure it will go easy enough if the price is right as its still basically new.

Indeed ........ as you say "not normally with a car" ........... last time it was with the pneumatic blonde at No.48 down the road.

Unfortunately it's not that new .... it's one of those ancient 2013 registered cars and it's been reversed into a pole and it was leaking and I might take it off his hands for £12k and a dozen cans of Boddington's left over from the New Year party.

It may be hard to sell privately as any check will reveal it's on finance, not insurmountable but puts some buyers off. 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

I've knowledge of three examples of Land Rovers being sold back to the dealers.

First Case - laughable offer - like really awful!

Second Case - very good offer - dealer had someone already lined up wanting that spec

Third Case - very reasonable offer - drove in with car, drove out with money - car then sold off forecourt within days.

Good news is that this Defender is in this season's fashionable colour - so it should shift to a townie.

Because townies aren't real defender owners. Defenders have always been cool they just are.

Thanks Guys.

On friday i rang my dealer, he said he'd called me back on saturday. Which he did. Only to say they weren't interested in buying it. As they have to many used defenders in stock.

ANOTHER option i have is for my father to use it as his company car, But he does around 3000 miles a month. So I'm not so keen on the idea. And i don't think he will like the idea of driving a defender long distance after driving a RR

OR try and sell it private

Its been such an emotional roller coaster this defender.

Hi Lewis the major selling points for your Land Rover are the colour, mileage, and pretty much standard spec,

There are more Land Rover dealers than the one you bought it from try some of the dealers in Scotland etc hopefully will be a bigger demand due to the weather,

Also ask if they can sale or return your car as well means it is on there forecourt and not with you but if you want to sell it agree what you are prepared to accept back worth a try but be realistic

Lewis, are you really sure you want to sell it? You are likely to lose quite a lot of money selling it so soon after driving it off the forecourt. Is it really that you don't like it anymore (your change of heart appears very sudden) or is it more that in order to go travelling you need the money and would not be in a position to keep up with the payments.
If it is the latter, is there any way you could get a sibling/parent to pay the monthly payments and use it as their car until you return and then you take it back over?
If you have decided it is not for you - what are the reasons? I'm just curious?
