A nice black powder coated patriot rack would look sweet on top of your 90! Hows it driving so far?

It was in the Lake District, known as the old coach road.
Will, Its driving fine to be honest, Ive had it just over 6 weeks now and done around 2600 miles. Its has a few little warranty jobs that need doing, for example some paint touching up, and the door locks keep playing up. |

Nice to see a new defender being used offroad and a few miles being put on the clock!
Where needs paint touching up? Have you, or are you having it undersealed? |

The bottom on the bulkhead offside, and also the front of the roof some of the sealant has cracked.
The locks seem to be sticking. They either work fine or one minute they stick I was turning around last night and reversed into a lamppost, i sweat it wasn't there when i looked. Luckily it hit the wheel! |

I've got a new 110 van on order (the same colour and pretty much the same spec as yours) for March 1st and it's very interesting. Mine will only be approaching that mileage after around five months though, so you put me to shame. |

If your Defender locks are a bit sticky - a light dusting of Dry Graphite Powder will have them operating like a bespoke Swiss Watch. This is the magic ingredient http://www.amazon.co.uk/C-K-T6283A-Graphit...1FEVELM9D5 Your key will slide in and out like a hot knife through butter and the tumblers will revolve smoothly. You can also safely use it on the house door and any padlocks you have - great stuff and you need only a very light dusting to make a huge difference. Please don't just spray WD40 into your locks. |

So Guys, I've had a little change of heart about the defender. After owning it 7 weeks. I don't like it. I liked my old Hi Cap more.
But anyways that been one issue, the other issue is. That i plan to quit my Current job, in a few months and go traveling. But go traveling with no plan. Ive just bought myself a corsavan as a little run around. 08 plate with 50k on the clock So what do i do about my defender. Ive ownded 7 weeks, and done 3250 miles. Do i see what the dealer will offer or do i try and sell it private? This is the spec for all have forgot 2014 model hard top 90 fuji white winter pack, con pack, roof appointment pack tow pack, rear step, rear load mat, seat risers, goodyear wranglers I think that is it |

Just be aware that if it's on finance, it's not yours to sell. Make sure you let them know to avoid problems downstream. |

The more I read on this forum ......... the more bizarre some folk's behaviours appear.
Reading through threads like this reveals some great case studies for the psychoanalyst's couch. Here we have someone who spends hours building up to the big purchase, specifying the Defender to his exact requirements, sharing his excitement and then ......... ditch it for an Corsa Van! Puzzled? ^^Never really wanted something, and then when you get it it's a bit of a let down/not what you expected? It happens to everyone at some point, just not normally with a car. An engine to TDi for!
