Yes, pics above in this thread are amazing. Unfortunately, I feel seasick just looking at the waves.....love the idea but have found out the reality the hard way. Embarassed 1970 Series 2A 88"

Thanks for that, all very useful everyone.

Just had some 2foot lift steps made for my 110 so I can get under and spray everywhere easily!

I strongly reccomend the HAMMERITE Stonechip with Waxoyl (black) combination in a can for high impact areas etc, done my diffs and a few other places in it, leaves a water resistant and non-chip coating which looks flat and clean too. Cheers, David

Mr. Green Have now contacted Zagato. Thumbs Up

Very excited (kid before Christmas) waiting for my 110 to arrive in September but also thinking that the first trip will be down to Zagato for the full treatment. Bow down

Does anyone know of anywhere in the Bedfordshire area that will seal the windows properly? 1970 Series 2A 88"

The biggest tip i can give is to start NOW . Whilst the weather is hot and all underside parts are dry and clean . Theres been snow in October before . Be prepared .

I'm going to look at doing mine in the next few weeks. I'm going to stonechip underneath. On areas with surface rust I assume this should lightly be removed and treated with a rust cure like the Hammerite one before adding stonechip? I do have some of this already.
I was thinking of using this:

Internally on top. Where exactly does it need to be added? Not done this before so pointers more than welcome. (Obviously I know to cover brakes and exhaust and the like from getting covered. Including myself) Shocked
I would search but it's difficult to trawl though pages and pages for valuable info with general banter mixed in.

It was a pleasure Paul Wink

Best way to do it, straight out of the showroom. I couldn't find my camera yesterday but you ought to put a picture up, she is a fully loaded impressive example in white and a rare one that I couldn't fault on build quality - finish, fit, paint etc.

Just a note on the DIN02L kit from Rejel.com, I am consistently using two more underbody wax cans than is supplied in the kit so it would be a good idea to order a couple of extra cans with the kit Thumbs Up

I really miss my Defender but I've been away sailing quite a bit along the south coast, some in really nasty conditions, coming through the Needles on your own in a force 5/6 is fun Shocked and thick fog through shipping channels gets your heart rate going!

Although needing a reef in the sail, this was a more enjoyable trip though the Needles than the first time! Good enough conditions to be able to get the camera out anyway.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

It's a pity Zag isn't around here anymore very often. Sad

Anyway, Chassis holes.... Nitice obviously there is plenty if them. What do people do leave them as they are as standard? Plug a few select one's or the lot?
There's also the large one's too I notice...

Any thoughts? NEVER SURRENDER! β›½οΈπŸ›’οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ”§πŸ§°βš™οΈ RED, WHITE & BOOST! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Plug most but leave some open so it can breathe / water can run out.

That was what I was tending to think. Block too many and anything internal is made far far worse not block any and water and dirt will easily get in. The two larger holes either side under the rear wheel arches seem to fill with dirt and dust a lot.
I think I remember someone taped over them with duck tape or similar. NEVER SURRENDER! β›½οΈπŸ›’οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ”§πŸ§°βš™οΈ RED, WHITE & BOOST! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

What do people think for under the wheel arches. Just dinitrol black underseal or stone chip then dinitrol on top?

Do people spray all the panels underneath or just a select few?
