South Africa 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
As usual (and expected), they compared the noise to a similar and a new Puma and their response is that they all sound the same and thus must be normal.

Time to escalate to LR South Africa Confused --

United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black
2007 and 1 clutch exchanged although don't think needed it. Only needed new gearbox as synchromesh was bust at 1,000 miles and LR did everything they could to rack up their fees under warranty.

Had a new clutch since though at 55,000 miles out of warranty. It was clattering in neutral and clutch up.

At lest they agreed to do it. LR CL is not even trying to book mine in to confirm that it needs to be changed. --

07/2010, 53.000km, still the first clutch and so far no problem at Ditec with that at least.

For a 2-year old clutch? NOTHING!

I would refuse to pay anything, this is caused by their sh*tty design, not your driving style. Evil or Very Mad --

Ja, I feel the same way about it Evil or Very Mad

But spoke to 3 other lads who had theirs replaced and LR see it as a wear item and in most circumstances the owners had to pay 30%odd of the new clutch..... Sad

I will give them a fight they will remember. Last time I hired a lawyer who wrote them a nice letter. Then it was Yessir, whatever you want sir.
