Do you think they would do a "group buy"? I would be interested! Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Update - Andrew from Allisport emailed me to say try a genuine Land Rover MAF sensor. I had an old one I had replaced so put it on. Thus far success. The throttle response is noticeably better and the Defender is much more fun to drive. However, the chap in the video ( in my humble experience ) totally played down the difficulty of removing the old air box and associated pipework!!! I ended up cutting it all into manageable chunks. With the pipe work I used a heat gun to soften the plastic to get it out. But - seriously worth the effort.

Looks like great piece of kit. Honestly if I was to install this, it's because I like to tinker and I like quality. The performance element is a bit of a gimmick I think. Yes it will improve things at the top end of the rev range but who drives a defender at the top end. Of course after you spend all this money you will feel an improvement, because you just push that pedal a bit harder, it the placebo effect. You want a real noticeable difference you need to look at bottom end torque.
Still nice piece of kit! I wish though they would get on and making me that new cooling expansion tank they been promising me for 6 weeks.. |

That looks very niceš..
Not sure the rivits holding the latches on do it justice but that's just been fussy I supposeš I'm curious as to the filters it uses.. Are they the common vacuum cleaner filter, and if so how does it compare to rated particle size for a normal automotive filter?? I'll no doubt have a Google at some point but someone may know |

Looks a nice bit of kit!
The number is on the filter in the picture. I would say the clips are riveted on so if they break, easy replacement. |

I did try those numbers in a search but didn't come up with anything specific.. I'll check again..
The rivits in the picture I just thought looked a bit untidy next to the quality work.. Something a little more discrete.. Smaller rivits even.. Honestly it's just been picky.. I know that.. I don't think the tdci air box is on the Ali sport site yet but they will take an order if you get in touch.. Quite a wait I think.. |

Has anyone asked Allisport about water ingress into their airbox, I highlighted this on page 2 of this topic as it does happen with the Nugget Stuff airbox if you have a wing side or wing top air intake and the Allisport one looks functionally the same, I.e no water separator or drain fitted.
