UPDATE

Downloaded the new firmware and all
working now.

Couple of questions though, for those more in the know.

Where is the option to stop the door open "bong"? And can you switch off the seatbelt one as well?

And why does it say currently "no cruise control" as it does have cruise. Does it mean no adaptive cruise control?

Thanks !

I don’t know about the door bong, but:

MultiCAN-717 Front Belt Minder
Beltminder Fully OFF

MultiCAN-737 Rear Belt Minder
Rear Beltminder OFF

The cruise control one just may not apply. mine says it too:
EUCD-023 Cruise Control
Without cruise control

Thank you l've turned off the seatbelt bong

I also turned off the auto fold mirrors but now they won't fold with the buttons on the inside of the door door either
I guess that will have to do, you can fold them by hand. lt's just that when towing, the extension door mirrors hit the door when the mirrors fold.

Has anyone changed engine configuration from 250 to 300. I believe they are the same engines and that it is only software difference

Try it and see what happens. You can always change it back if there's any issues.

Be warned if you change the engine power using the IID tool! If you do it the system records a permanent fault which will show up if you car is scanned by the dealers computer, it shows up as a power mismatch so your dealer will know that something has been done. JLR retrofits originally offered this change but stopped as it was being overwritten by dealers, they then started to re-offer it along with a software hack to prevent the dealer from seeing it, but it doesn't appear on their website anymore so maybe they have stopped again. Confused If anybody still wants to change it have a look at MultiCAN-580 Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

So does it actually work, that is, do you get the extra 50bhp and extra torque?

lf that's the case no wonder LR don't like it, my D250 cost £3,000 more than the same specification vehicle with the D200 !!
£3,000 just for changing a setting.....that's easy money

I just joined your group and wish to participate in this discussion. Don't have a Defender yet but it's coming. However, we own also a MY23 Discovery D300, so I started fiddling a bit around with Gap IID which works splendidly. I did the Wifi and the key away locking feature. Works nice (-:

Today I tried to unlock the speed limiter from factory setting 209km/h to the new value of 225km/h, it works but it gives me an error that collision warning is not working and the cruise control is without function, anyone has an idea how to mitigate this problem?

Many wishes

roccobarocco

TIA

Hi Roccobarocco,

Did you keep using the D300 with a diferente speed limit ? My D300 cuts out at 197km/h 2023MY

What ccf did you change ?

Cheers

has anyone turned off the DLR with the gap tool? I was able to turn them off during the day, but when the headlights turn on they do too. One of my led dlr is broken

I think JLR refers to the leds as Signature LEDs, and uses those as DLR, ie the LEDs are more than DLR. I think that’s why they are brighter when DLR are on and dimmer when used with headlights.

l've noticed that my speedometer over reads by about 3mph at 70 mph, according to my GPS.
This would be useful then.

Why would they set the speedometer to over read?
