Truly great thread, very informative indeed. I have a 2012 110 UTE XS and plan to fit amongst other things a split charge system and sound proofing. Your attention to detail is second to none. This thread will certainly make things much easier for me.

Thanks
I'm part way through wiring up my new control panel at the moment, but it's slow going as 'life' keeps getting in the way Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? I spent a good few hours today wiring up my control panel, which was very satisfying:
Click image to enlarge Next steps are to cover the panel with vinyl cloth, wire up the switches and make up the vehicle side connector, and I'm nearly there! Apologies for the old thread resurrection, but I've acquired one of the Mantec Tufflift slings with the adjustable straps and no metal bar. Any clue as how to fix it to the wheel carrier..? I have a TD5 90 with the standard carrier, but will be swapping to a Mantec carrier soon. Cheers Simon |

I think they're designed to fit to holes in the Mantec wheel carrier, so you'd have to drill a couple of suitable holes in the sides of a standard door mount.
Have you got a picture? Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

couplands I think that might be for defenders that don't have a swing way or some other system, As that one is different to mine. ( check out my thread for the installation) Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Could you point me to your thread..?
I currently have the standard wheel carrier (my 2001), but have ordered a Mantec one. I'm sure I can fabricate something, but interested in how it is meant to work.. Cheers Simon |

Yeah, that's the one for use with their wheel carrier, which has holes for the two larger yellow plastic tags. Darren

^^^ perfect, just waiting for the Mantec carrier to arrive...
Having said that, on the photos and fitting instructions of the Matec carrier, I can't see any holes that would allow the toggles to be attached.... Cheers Simon |

It wouldn't surprise me if their instructions are out of date. The slings are relatively new products for them and yours is advertised as being suitable for use with their carrier. Darren
