I keep toying with this idea for a project when I retire next year, I quite like the exmoor trim kit. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90 |

So, a few more weeks have passed and I'm now just about at the end of the exercise to prep it for sale. One of the more technical tasks has been to remove the split charge system and second battery. With the original battery tray reinstated, all that remains of the previous installation are the two mega fuses and respective cables for the headlight relays and the additional lighting at the rear, which are all to remain in position:

And here it is, cleaned, polished and returned to as close to standard trim as it's practical to do:

Expect to see me popping up in the 'For Sale' section soon For now though, in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny, that's all folks! Must've been as epic an undertaking to undo all your amazing work in readiness for the sale.
As others have mentioned, your thread has provided an absolute wealth of inspiration, a rich seam of knowledge which I have shamelessly - and cack-handedly compared to your efforts - attempted to copy at times. Good luck with the sale and I'm sure whoever buys your Utility Wagon will be getting an excellent example! |

The D4 is another interesting journey to perfection no doubt.. It's a different journey (I had a few). Overall less 'work required everywhere' more of a focused effort on the well documented areas of 'regular maintenance required'. Altogether a very rewarding experience with the D3/D4 being very very nice cars to drive and oh soo practical. Prefer the look over the slightly sleazy Range Rover (which is an even nicer drive). |
