Currently my own 110 is at the dealers with an AC problem. I was given a Puma 110 loaner which I've had a few days now. Immediately on driving it away it was apparent that the clutch was lighter and the gear change smoother. Then I noticed the quieter smoother engine with loads more power. It pulls up a long hill near home in 6th that I always have to change down for and drives so much better than mine it's not funny. Makes it a completely different car. My 90 on Shell feels freeer revving and therefore makes the gear change much smoother.. i can't believe the difference. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

can't wait till I've used a full tank of fuel but have got 253 miles from full to the needle showing half a tank......
but now I've gone and topped her up with bio. how many can you get on half a tank (well showing half of the display) - have I done well? - I hope so as I've been driving Miss Daisy ! |

After my BAS remap with EGR-shut initial fillup after a 200km run returned consumption of 9.5l/100km.
Went to Tulbagh for the long weekend and gave it some foot on the R44 in strong winds, and spent an hour idling in heavy traffic on Boyes Drive this evening. Consumption was 10.8l/100km after this run. Will continue to monitor & report consumption. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

![]() so 253 miles to the half way mark......then been running on some bio.. last night chucked another c15 ltrs of bion in the tank and after a little drive down the road this morning the gauge was back to half way (by cheer luck). it got me all the way to Leeds and back (well almost) - so another 213 miles !!! could I possibly do 466 miles on one tankful?.......it would certainly appear so !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Finally reset the odometer when I filled up.
So far 260 miles on about 2/3 tank. That makes it very low 20s... Uh oh... Will do an accurate calculation once it's empty. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

I can do better than all of you
![]() Monday morning i had a towercrane operators cab on the trailer only weighs 1.1 ton on my Ifor 1 ton but the wind resistance is massive and i was into a head wind and i was in a hurry go on guess what the fuel consumption was ????? Filled up in Newton Abbot Sun night ready and had to fuel at Strensham services M5 thats 132miles go on work it out thats a horrific 12mpg yes you read right twelve wow. My normal tow load is a set of crane axles that grosses my trailer out at its 3500Kg and i normally get 22/24 with that and 27/28 when running solo. WIND RESISTANCE KILLS FUEL[/img] If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.
