Check for diesel in sump oil could be injector seals. .
Also check expansion tank not sure if you can get it sniff tested but check water level ,sounds Like it might be faulty head gasket.good look. |

In Defender TD5 there are two "imobilizers" - in the 10AS unit - it blocks the starter relay and so if it is active, the starter will not turn. Second is in the TD5 engine ECU - this ECU must be paired with 10AS. In case of a problem with not-paired engine ECU and 10AS ECU the starter will turn engine, but engine ECU will not open injectors. To check these you need Nanocom or something similar. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

ok latest,no faults on the diagnostic at m smiths indi, blown alll fuel lines out ,replaced air valve, fuel pressure switch,re cleaned and re fitted the injector harness, cleaned ecu end,was told by mechanic crank sensor eather works or not truck starts after a good time spinning up,kinda runs on lumpy3 -4 cilender clouds of white smoke, pressing the throttle it eventually revs up to max and kind of clears itself then ticks over like normal, press throttle a good way down before it revs, like a massive flat spot on a carbed engine,it will drive but its as flat as a big bag of flat things,
can someone tell me or point me to what the pressure readings on the hawkeye should be please or better still tell me WTF is wrong with it loz |

the pressure readings are under live reading
Clouds of white smoke 1. white smoke unbent fuel, it will have strong smell diesel 2. white smoke water in the combustion chamber Last edited by dorsetsmith on 8th Jan 2017 8:57am. Edited 1 time in total |

Have you replaced the injector seals? I would also replace the injector loom rather than just clean it 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Ignore that, I see you replaced the loom. Definitely look at replacing the injector seals though, reading through the thread it seems to be the only unexplored avenue 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

With the hawkeye you can fire the injectors with the engine not run so you test wiring and coil to each one
