This look likes an interesting idea - from reading it all, the problems seem to be Land Rover/Sollihull/Gaydon etc and the amount of cars arriving there. Could be a possibility to do it in reverse - have the final destination Red Wharf bay, with lots of smaller convoys converging along the way from all over the UK / Europe, those in the South East and centre of England could pass Sollihull on the way. A sort of 'return to Land Rovers roots' trip....

I hope to get the website up and running by mid march - sorry for the delay but workload and illness makes this a bit of a challanging time for me.
I'll keep you all posted on the progress... |

Today I implemented the design onto the webapplication. I also did the full translation as I only did a dutch version until now.
So basics are ready. Just need to add some basic content and it's ready to put online. I.o.w. Still moving forward. |

Hello, although very new to Defender ownership, I really like the idea and would love to attend - sent off my 'Yes' vote. Having said that, a little confused on what's the planned date reading through the thread. I saw a to do list on one of the earlier pages - would be more than happy to offer a helping hand so let me know if I can be of any use to group behind this.

Also something that I think would help, is to somehow increase visibility of the thread here on the forum - make it easier to find - I myself stumbled upon it by chance (basically can't sleep tonight, as you may have guessed by looking at the time of the post). Maybe there are quite a few new members who would love to join such an event as well but don't even know about the thread.

Deleted, see the specific thread started in the Defender Celebration Series section about "Swiss Defender official farewell event"
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic35698.html You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
