I like the last paragraph in the article
"Defenders are sprayed with 343 high-pressure water jets for 14 minutes to check for leaks in the Monsoon Chamber" [/quote] Am I missing the point? mine was clearly checked to make sure it had leaks - there were several. |

I tell you what, that's not bad, in fact, I reckon it's the best I've seen to date. Pickles. |

Square it off a little and I don't actually mind the DC100 as much anymore. Just needs proper wheels& tyres and a long wheelbase:
And I quite like this Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

If they built something like that yellow 110, Then in these days of health and safety nanny state engineering I'd be happy enough.. Yes it's not really a Defender as we know it... But it never can be can it...

The similarity to the Skoda Yeti is very apparent! |

The defender as we know it is dead.
Land Rover's main goal now should be to build the best4x4xfar again. Something to beat toyota/jeep and cement land rover's off road status again. If it can be utilitarian and have some design cues from the current (old ) defender then even better. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

The farm I work on has had a Land Rover since 1948. We've had Series 1, 2, 2A, 1ton, 3, 110 and Defender; and multiple varieties of each. Each bought because it was the best vehicle for the job at the time.
We currently have a 2005 110. I would be disappointed if there wasn't a Land Rover product for us when it comes up for replacement in 5-10 years time. |

Even if the defender station wagons move upmarket a bit, I hope Land Rover make a fantastic pickup version. Something to rival the Amarok and hilux at the higher end of the market... Cheers, David

Perhaps it needs to be a bit wider to give us more elbow room
