For the summer replaced my yellow fogs by white fogs. The very same Hella Comet 550.

Fitted the rear MudStuff speaker mounts ready for a set of 130mm speakers - when I buy a set.
Started adding some foam insulation around the rear windows and also added some behind the speaker pods. Need some contact adhesive next to stick the foam to the metal work. Got the winch back from Goodwinch after a service. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Fitted one of them dog guard thingies that goes between the 'boot' and the back of the seats to keep pooch safe.
What a palava, all caused by the totally crap instructions which were all in picture form without any words at all. It took me about three hours (gauged by the radio turning itself off twice) which is about two hours longer than it would have taken if they put words in the instructions. Anyway, it's done. Next task is to build a box to level out the wheel arches and create a space to hide all the crap I lug around for no reason. |

I used the old one to chase two cars of yoofs off the farm. Its funny how a slightly careworn pick up says 'don't argue'! Tomorrow I will mostly be spraying ACF-50 on the Heritage as per the corrosion prevention sticky, hopefully without interruptions...

I sanded it all over, then I treated the rust with Bilt Hamber hydrate 80.
What you see at the end is just 2 coats of halfords primer. It takes 24 hrs to dry properly, so I will spray it black tomorrow. I've got Matt black, but I'm not sure wether to spray it satin black instead. When it's all finished I'm going to spray some Bilt Hamber dynax-UC over it. It's a thin clear film that's supposed to protect the paint and metal. It's worth a try anyway! 2002 td5 90 county hardtop |

It kept dragging on the ground when it took the defender off road. So I took it into work and cut it off. The tow ball still goes low enough when I use it occasionally. 2002 td5 90 county hardtop
