Mine was made by a company called Falon Nameplates and we've had a couple of batches made for our Land Rover Club, some like the picture above and some more oval ones with our club name around the outside. Individually they're not cheap as you have to pay for tooling and design and then the plaques themselves. As a club we are absorbing the set up costs of £80 and then passing the badge cost of around £32 to the members for the "Station Wagon" style above. Any individual design is around the £80 mark so if you're setting up a club badge where there will be multiple buyers then the costs can be brought down plus they keep the design on record so you can just pay for more badges of that design without paying a setup cost again.
The link for them is; http://www.falon-nameplates.co.uk/

You may find an existing design you like so no set up costs Thumbs Up

Went on a shopping trip to pick up a stainless steel decat and middle box delete sections for my TD5. Popped into '4x4 Overlander' on the way home and made some further Defender related purchases including a pair of their light guards and a gas strut for the rear door. Barbara & Brendan at '4x4 Overlander' were fantastic, their hospitality and warehouse full of Land Rover goodies ensured that it will be the first visit of many.

The exhaust went on a treat..... but getting the gearbox cross member back in was a massive pain in the arse! Well worth it in the end for the improved performance and great exhaust sound!

Took a test run to Cheshire on Sunday to visit some friends and popped into Cheshire Oaks on the way home. Was very glad to be in the Defender, as parking was impossible until I improvised...........

Trial fitted some second hand 285/75's. Took it to a local lane to see what it drove like and if it caught on standard shocks.
Result, it didn't.

Fell like they're too big, but maybe it's just because i'm used to the 235's.

Fetched it home and gave it a proper clean, wheels are tatty, so will be coming off and re-fit the 235's and eventually buy some new wheels and tyres, unknown as to what size.

You may already be aware of this (or may not care anyway), but you run the risk of a ticket doing that since you are technically parked on the double-yellows.

It is not universally known that the prohibition extends to the verge beyond the lines and not just the road surface marked by the lines. Ever if you are completely off the road, as you are, you are still contravening the restriction.

I assume however that you were lucky on this occasion since you didn't post this in the "grumpy old man" thread!

Thank you, I didn't realise that, does it apply within a carpark (which I assume is private land)? Not something I would do normally, but the place was ridiculously busy and mine was definitely one of the more sensible parking improvisations I spotted!

I was indeed lucky, but I didn't stay long. I only popped in to visit one shop for some shirts, when I arrived the queue for the tills was all the way across the shop so I promptly left again!

I thought you might not, many people don't.

Does it apply in car parks? I don't know, it probably depends on several factors. The Road Traffic Acts apply to places to which the public have access, and do apply to car parks. Parking restrictions and enforcement is something else, though, and you may find that rather than ticketed you are clamped by a menacing gangster!

I think from your photo that unless you were unlucky enough to parked at the point where the enforcement 'womble' started, you'd have time to shop and leave before they got round to you, they'd be very busy.

Un-done my front ARB, took dampers / shockers off the front, and turrets.
Cleaned bits, Dinitrolled bits, new Spring seats, new springs an isolators fitted, D44 turret rings.

New dampers / shocks and turrets to go in tomorrow, finally fit ARB back on and that's the lot.

Would have been easier work if I'd have realised on the OS I forgot to fit the turret ring once I was finished. Doh! Embarassed Banging Head
So needed to jack up all over again. Rolling with laughter

Ran some Captain Tolley's across the roof seam using a hypodermic syringe and needle.

Several applications (of a minimal amount each time) before it stopped disappearing so I'm hoping that means that it has found its way into a slight leak that only seems to occur when snow lies on the roof. Only used about 5ml in all, seems amazing stuff.
