Well a hectic week but some things turned up today Mr. Green
First off middle row tinted windows. I had to call a favour in from a mate to bond the fixings to the window as they didn't come on the glass Big Cry so they're setting as we speak and I'll build up the doors tomorrow.

Also my almost new genuine seat covers that I won on ebay far too cheap turned up Whistle the fronts are already fitted and the middle row will go in when the windows have been fitted.

Lastly the wind deflectors will get fitted even though one is broken at the end, but that will have to get sorted after my hols Mr. Green

I'll put pics of the built up finished job tomorrow or the day after Thumbs Up
Cheers for looking
Ray

In holiday mode, with middle row windows, wind deflectors and seat covers fitted. Only needs a wash and filling with fuel before we go now. Roof box also fitted for more space Rolling Eyes

Well we made it there and back without being recovered this time Rolling with laughter although there is definately something wrong Big Cry the vibration is annoying at about 50 to 60 and there's a lack of power so I need to do some checks this week.
I think we brought back more bugs and sand on the defender than there was at the place we stayed Laughing

I gave it a good wash off this morning to get rid of as much salt as I could!

Unfortunately we missed a show while on holiday that could have been interesting

We only saw the poster in the supermarket after the event Neutral
Anyway I'll post about my findings on the running problem and I've got a couple of thing I want to do before winter too.

Cheers
Ray

I think I've found the lack of power as there was oil at the ecu plug again Rolling Eyes so I'll order a new injector loom when everything opens again after the bank holiday, but the vibration is still there so more to check when the weather is good.

Ray, mine had a vibration between 50-60

Turned out to be the handbrake was just a touch over adjusted, very slight bind revealed itself at those speeds as a noticeable vibration which went away at 70!

When they serviced it did they adjust the handbrake up a turn or two?

I put silicone in the top of the plugs when I fitted my harness. It was a britpart one, but has been good for 18 months now. I don't know whether this is a known way to slow down the ingress but it seems to have worked for me. Most silicones are oil resistant I think, but it will say on the tube. 2002 110 td5

I'll try backing the handbrake off a little but they definately didn't adjust it in the service. My vibration calms down a bit above 70 too so I'll try it Thumbs Up

I don't suppose you have any pics of where to put the silicon? I replaced the harness last year but it's back already!

I changed it last year but I've changed the oil 3 times since then for various reasons so with the oil being so new it might be more escapeable Rolling with laughter

It's been zinc coated then powder coated. The steps were starting to rust so I took them off ground them back had them sand blasted then zinc coated and powder coated and the chequer was done at the same time. Thumbs Up
