For fuel, I use Texaco (Taunton has a car wash there too, but broad tyres mean exact positioning)

The only DC aspect that appeals to me is than an auto might be in its lineup. Otherwise it will be time to think Wrangler one day. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

bob,

car is off the road again...and its nothing to do with fuel....

as mentioned previously noise is back ....coming back from work friday night along a bridge with walls sides where the noise was exagerated so when I got back I thought I'd have a look underneath not really expecting to see anything. to my suprises oil dripping from box and puddles on the drive!

well issed off now. car towed away and don't expect to see it back till mid Jan.

Loss of drive
Thought I'd add to this forum. My 2010 110 with 40k on the clock lost all drive yesterday. In the build up to this, I had clunking notices and also 1st gear was intermittently hard to select. Yesterday morning and under no duress, I lost all drive. AA recovered me to Brooklyn 4x4 who are now looking into it under warranty. Guessing a shaft issue?.

Wow, thread resurrection!

Yes, if you have lost all drive and locking the centre diff doesn't give you drive, it's almost certainly the output adaptor shaft. If locking the CDL gives you drive, it'll be a halfshaft, drive flange, or diff.

2010 seems to have been a bad year! Many failures.
