Fuel level senders
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the diesel and petrol fuel senders that would make them misread the level if used with the other type of fuel? Got a diesel one in my petrol fuel tank and sometimes it reads bottom red and sometimes it reads half full. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Never mind, upon closer inspecton of them both they are clearly different. I'm guessing the float possibly gets stuck on the petrol pump which would explain it reading empty half the time. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon
