Tip of the week
Pull your wiper spindle rubbers up and give the unprotected metal a brush/squirt of ACF-50 a couple of times a year to prevent problems in the future. You can see the rust that dropped out of this 5 year old Defender spindle. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Like Hairysteve I've just picked up my 110 from Chris and he's done a bloody brilliant job.
When I dropped it off last week we found out that it's done some serious wading in its past life and the cross members were full of solid lumps of clay! Chris had to break all this crap down and flush it out before even starting. The underside now looks like new and the time Chris has spent treating all high risk rot spots with ACF50 demonstrate the extra mile he goes. Thanks again Chris PS. Love the truck Hairysteve. I had a quick walk around it and it looks a serious piece of kit! |

Great tips..... ACF 50 on order!
As a side point, does anyone know a good solvent for getting tape marks off paintwork? After I removed my masking paper there were still a few bits of adhesive that won't scrub off. Reluctant to use anything sharp. |

I had the same problem and tried white spirits all sorts of things before finding that WD40 worked a treat - spray it on a let it soak for a few minutes. It also worked well on that double-side tape used for attaching number plates. Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

Hi
First post here. We are about to pick up a 2007 Defender 90 and want to get it sorted. I cannot PM yet (as first message) but need to contact you regarding having it done properly before the winter set in. Thanks Adam |
