I think it is more to do with navigation position, What I mean is, say I drive into a tunnel and lose the signal, the pulsed input will allow my position to be calculated until I get out of the tunnel ...

I gave the dealer my VIN and reg number this morning and got a reset code. Tried several times and it does not reset. Sods law my MSV is in the UK and I'm in Ireland.

MK, I've had the same happen to me, what I found works for me is to remove the key and activate the alarm and then de-activate the alarm. Never failed to start after that.
